That's me

I'm a PhD student supervised by Prof. Dr. Christoph Schnörr. I studied mathematics and computer science at the university of Mannheim with focus on probability theory, especially numeric of SDEs.

At the beginning of my PhD project we worked on Minimum Energy Filters on Lie Groups in order to estimate camera motions based on nonlinear observations of optical flow [1]. Later we also investigated the acceleration of the camera to cope the dynamics of a moving car and to be numerically more robust [2]. At the moment we incorporate state variables for the scene's depth from monocular optical flow to obtain a joint estimation and recursive filtering of the camera motion and the depth map.
